At Rincon They’re Walking The Nose | Live Swell

If the grey sky is bumming you out, grab a car and blast The Beach Boys Surfing Safari as you drive Highway 101, north of Los Angeles. The destination is a corner of beach known for it’s well-shaped waves and extended rides. Tucked in between Ventura and Santa Barbara is Rincon, one of the best places to surf in California and known around the world as some must visit surf turf. Because of it’s location, this spot is probably best savored in the winter months when the swells come in from northwest and west. Sometime every January, the Rincon Classic is held. Once your surf day is a wrap, mosey on over to Santa Barbara for some grub. The weather is temperate all year long, so good weather is almost a guarantee.

When you get to Santa Barbara, you’ll want to live like the locals. Enter Live-Swell. It’s the perfect way to plan your getaway. You can find a place to stay and hopefully make some new surfing buddies with personal trainers. They can point the way to the best surf and the tastiest grub as only a local surfer can. By joining the Live-Swell community, you become part of something bigger. Not only will you benefit but you can also give back to the community by developing relationships with other like-minded surfers. It’s a win-win! The shared economy is growing and you’ll want to be in on it. If you haven’t already joined, head on over to www.live-swell.com and see what’s going on.
