Permitting for Our Newest Beach Home Starts!

After, a couple long years of planning, design and engineering, we have started permitting of the BayView Boathouse OBX.

If you’ve ever built a home you probably know the design and engineering phases can take longer than construction! WTF! Yes, that is often true if you build a custom home and push the limits!

What is the BayView BoatHouse going to look like?

For this project, we chose a more complex design from the start, a ‘salt-box’ style home. A salt box can be thought of as a 1 & 1/2 story home. A distinguishing feature of the house architecture is 2 varying roof pitches.

No house plan to image rendering is perfect, we still have some final decisions to make yet we do expect the house exterior to look similar to the renderings seen here:

BayView BoatHouse OBX Floor Plan

We designed this vacation home with 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, 2500+ sqft, plunge pool & first level ‘mother-in-law suite.’ Whats more? The home location is semi-bay front and less than 50 yards to the Avalon Beach Public Boat Access!

When will the BayView Boat House Be Ready? Can I follow the Construction as it is built?

We have prepared the lot for construction and anticipate putting piles in the ground early 2025. Completion of the project will likely be toward the fall of 2025.

We do plan to capture the beach home as it gets built, check back for updates or make sure to subscribe to our email list for updates!
