After arriving at Liberia International airport in Costa Rica we had a long haul to our Nicaragua Surf Vacation rental. Most people would fly direct to Nicaragua to save time, but not us. We decided to hop in a rental car and take to the road and figure it out for ourselves! Do you want to create memories with friends? Get into a car, grab a map, and navigate thru a country with friends. My experience tells me there won’t be a shortage of fun. . .
Live-Swell big tip – Make sure you grab a Pipa Fria! Vendors on the side of the road have coolers filled with cold coconuts and will chop it up so you can put a straw in it and drink the water inside. Heres the kicker. . .you won’t pay more than 1$ USD! If you were to purchase coconut water (from a store) in the United States it would cost upwards of 3$ dollars! After you finish the water, ask your Pipa man to chop the coconut in half and eat the meat! You’ll be glad you got the real thing straight from the source.
